Tittel: I just want to make you all jealous
"Because the blue 1988 CX25GTi which I have been driving for the last 15 years
is beginning to develop a few irritating faults (ABS light comes on, A/C
leaks, a noise from the gearbox which is not good, sliding roof leaks, play in the
steering, rust.....) I have just taken the covers off the mothballed black
1988 CX25GTi. It is GORGEOUS! I had forgotten what a polished black CX in
factory-new condition (almost) looks like. On Thursday morning it will pass the
MoT test with no problems (???) and the tatty one will go under the cover
until:
A) It is a very valuable museum piece and collectors are queuing up to offer
me wads of folding money to part with it,
B) I find the energy to resurrect it and return it to the condition it was
in when I started to neglect it,
C) I have removed so many bits to repair the black one it is worthless,
or
D) It gently dissolves into the ground and returns to earth from whence it
came, way back.
Sorry to those folk who responded when I was thinking of selling the black
one some time ago. I have got used to the idea of having four cars - it seemed
a bit OTT then, but now I have learned about a few of the chaps on this list.
